HOW IT WORKS
Enter your case details (practice area, jurisdiction, injuries, case facts) and our AI engine analyzes 20 factors across judge intelligence, verdict databases, settlement trends, and more to deliver a data-driven valuation with comparable cases and confidence scores. Results typically arrive in under 5 seconds.
Each evaluation runs your case through: Jurisdiction Analysis, Judge Tendencies, Verdict Database Search, Settlement Pattern Analysis, Damage Caps, Comparative Fault Analysis, Statute of Limitations, Insurance Coverage Assessment, Expert Witness Needs, Medical Causation, Loss of Consortium, Economic Loss Projections, Punitive Damage Potential, Litigation Cost Analysis, Time to Trial Estimate, Discovery Complexity, Witness Credibility Assessment, Emotional Distress Valuation, Policy Limit Analysis, and Contingency Fee Impact. See the Modules page for details on each.
Yes. You can upload individual case documents or full folders to supplement your written case description. The AI analyzes the uploaded materials alongside your inputs to produce a more thorough evaluation. Supported formats include PDF, DOCX, and common document types.
Harlan analyzes 20 intelligence modules including jurisdiction-specific verdict history, judge tendencies, damage caps, and comparable outcomes from 439+ real cases. While no tool can guarantee exact outcomes, our valuations provide a data-driven range grounded in actual case data, comparable verdicts from the same jurisdiction, and structured analysis of every factor that influences case value. This is fundamentally different from rough multiplier estimates or gut-feel assessments.
DATA AND VERDICTS
Every comparable case is drawn from our database of 439+ real, publicly documented court outcomes with verifiable citations. We source from court records, verdict reporters, and legal publications. Harlan uses zero AI-generated or hallucinated cases. Every verdict is traceable to its original source. This is a core principle of the platform.
Harlan supports all civil litigation practice areas including personal injury (motor vehicle, premises liability, medical malpractice, product liability, workplace accidents), employment law, insurance bad faith, wrongful death, construction accidents, nursing home abuse, and more. Our verdict database spans 114+ practice areas across all 50 US states, DC, and federal courts.
Yes. Our verdict database covers all 50 US states, the District of Columbia, and federal courts. Every state has at least 5 real, verified verdicts in the database. Comparable cases shown in your evaluation are matched to your selected jurisdiction, so you see outcomes from the courts that matter for your case.
We add new verified verdicts regularly. The database currently contains 439+ verdicts across 114+ practice areas and is growing. Each verdict is manually verified against court records, verdict reporters, and legal publications before being added. We prioritize recent outcomes and landmark cases across all practice areas.
